Dominic
As the youngest Knight brother, I’m still learning the ropes.
After being burned with women, I prefer to keep things physical.
But when one of our strippers needs help, I can’t say no.
She’s so much more than a dancer.
Grace is genuine, determined, and has all the right moves.
It makes me furious, but she might be the one who steals my heart.

C.L. Cruz & Liz Fox have teamed up to bring you a new series!

Four friends—and their rivals—who triumphed against all odds, no matter the cost. Now they’ve made it. One by one, they’ll become obsessed with possessing her curves.

This is a Steamy Short Story Romance. No Cliffhangers. This is the fifth in the Possessing Her Curves series, but it can also be read as a standalone. If you love short romances with steamy sex scenes and a happily ever after, then you’ll love this book.

Chapter One Look Inside

As I slide onto the leather barstool, I catch Rhea’s eye across the bar. She nods at me and holds up a finger, telling me to wait, so I settle in and pull a bowl of bar nuts over to me. A suit a few seats down from me turns to scope me out but apparently finds me lacking in my jeans and Heathcliff University sweatshirt.
“This place is dead,” he tells his friend. “Want to hit up Queens?”
Crazy Queens is the strip club across the street and, coincidentally, my place of employment. If only he knew that most nights, men pay a pretty penny to get a look at the curves I’m hiding beneath these baggy clothes.
“Not dancing tonight?” Rhea asks as she clears the guys’ empty beer mugs once they leave.
I shake my head. “I had classes all day today, and Gran is expecting me for dinner.”
“Ah.” She smiles, her dimple piercings flashing in the dim overhead light. Rhea is a punk goddess, with tattoos covering her arms, gauges in her ears, and neon pink hair. “That explains it. One order of onion rings to go?”
At my confirming nod, she turns away to punch in my order. I’ve been dancing at Crazy Queens for the last couple of years to pay my way through college and to pay Gran’s rent at the fancy retirement community by the river. In that time, onion rings from Sixty-Four, the pub across the street, have become her favorite. It’s to the point where I don’t dare go to see her empty-handed. But I don’t mind, even when I’m not working. It’s the least I can do for the woman who raised me.
When my mom dropped me off on her doorstep, Gran took me in, no questions asked. She worked her tail off for fifteen years to make sure I had every possible opportunity, and there was no way I was going to ask her to put me through college, too. And then, when she became too elderly to care for herself, I couldn’t send her to some shoddy nursing home. Gran deserves the best, and I’m going to give it to her, no matter what it takes.
“How is school going?” Rhea asks while we’re waiting on my food.
“Good,” I tell her. “I should be graduating soon if all goes according to plan.”
She raises an eyebrow skeptically. “Going to finally put that business degree to use?”
I grimace. “I hope so. But I’m not sure that internships and entry-level jobs will pay my bills.” It would be nice to quit dancing but hard to give up that income.
“Hey, you could still dance on the side,” Rhea says with a shrug.
I laugh. “Can you imagine? All of my future co-workers would probably end up seeing my boobs at one point or another.”
Some other customers settle in a few chairs down. As she turns away to get their drink orders, Rhea calls back, “Maybe they already have.”
Oof. A little dash of honesty, but I’m not ashamed of what I do. I’m smart and kind and resilient, and if my future employees can’t look past my cleavage to see it, then I don’t want it.
