I never wanted to be a runaway bride,
But when I catch my fiance cheating
I have no choice.
Luckily, a handsome biker is there to save me.
He’s tall, sexy, and knows how to ride all night.
But is he just a rebound… or is the passion between us the real thing?

The men of the Raging Angels MC are possessive, protective, and know what they like—curvy women. One by one, they’ll learn what it’s like to fall into obsession—and love—with their women.

This is a Steamy Short Story Romance. No Cliffhangers. This is the sixth in the Raging Angels MC series, but it can also be read as a standalone. If you love short romances with steamy sex scenes and a happily ever after, then you’ll love this book.

Chapter One Look Inside

I stand in front of the mirror in the hotel’s bridal suite and stare at my reflection, hardly able to recognize myself in the poofy white ballgown with my lips painted a bright red and my long, brown hair—normally in a sloppy bun—contained in an elaborate updo. Across the room, my bridesmaids, mostly classmates and childhood friends, laugh and chat in their champagne-colored dresses. My mom stands behind me, smoothing down stray hairs and rambling on about how blessed we are.
“Bill is such a good man,” she says. “It’s about time our two families are officially connected.”
Laughing sardonically, I say in a sing-song voice, “First comes the business merger, then comes marriage.”
My mom purses her lips at me. “It’s a good match. It makes sense. You’ll both inherit a very successful business from your fathers someday.”
Her touch is gentle but her words are like barbs poking at that inkling of doubt I’ve tried to keep hidden. But with every touch, it spreads, a black stain on what is supposed to be the best day of my life.
I admit, I’m one of those girls—the girl who held Barbie weddings and had her dress picked out at nine years old. The only thing always missing from my fantasy wedding has been my groom’s face, and try as I might to put Bill Reed in that position, I just can’t. My mind and my heart rebel against it.
It’s not that Bill is a bad guy. My mom is right—it does make sense, even if it is a little “arranged marriage” for my taste. He’s an attorney, and I’m in law school. We have similar upbringings and we’re on similar paths. He should be a decent partner—at work and at home. So what if the chemistry isn’t there, right? Maybe it will grow with time.
More importantly, my getting married will finally grant me access to my trust fund, thanks to a clause that my grandfather built into it twenty-six years ago, before I was even born. As unfair and as chauvinistic as it is, there hasn’t been a thing I could do about it… except tie myself to a man I don’t care about for the rest of my life. It’s a small price to pay, though, in exchange for the money. Money that will allow me to finally take care of my Aunt Ellis the way she deserves.
Although, to be fair, Ellis doesn’t feel the same way.
“I’m not worth it,” she told me at my last dress fitting, when my mom—not surprisingly—hadn’t been there.
But she is—worth every penny and more. As a free-spirited artist, she’s always been the black sheep of the Reed family, which is full of attorneys and level-headed businessmen. When she went to art school instead of law school, she lost her trust account and ended up taking a job with her brother as my nanny to make ends meet.
That’s how we became close. She was the one who was there when I got home from school. The one who took me to soccer games and school dances. Who mended scraped knees and broken hearts. Unfortunately, she avoids family events like the plague, which is partly why she isn’t here today.
Another reason is her MS diagnosis. She began developing symptoms ten years ago, but they’ve gotten progressively worse. My dad refuses to step up again, so it’s up to me to be there for her the best way I know how. She deserves the best care money can buy, and I’m going to give it to her as soon as I have my hands on that money. The fact that it will piss off the rest of the Roberts family is just icing on the cake.
